Am I mad in thinking this team improves 100% with just swapping Willock and Steur
I know it isn’t his natural position, but it allows him to learn the speed of the prem in a less demanding position. His passing and vision will unlock the attacking potential and he will also offer some more grit in the midfield. submitted by /u/BakerDeanBD [link] [comments]
Last season really was actually pretty good in hindsight.
We got way too big for our boots. Before Howe, we hadn’t reached a semi final since 2005. Then it became so normal for us to be in and around finals and competing for Europe that we started taking it for granted. We finished 12th, which was poor, but we were still only a few wins away from Europe…
[Waugh] Matthias Jaissle said Newcastle did not follow his game plan. What exactly is it he wants them to do?
“It was not the plan and that’s something you need to clearly mention.” Matthias Jaissle’s assessment of Newcastle United’s apparently aimless long-ball offensive approach during Monday’s insipid 1-0 defeat to Everton was surprising. “(Our patterns) looked really good in the training sessions…
Am I missing something or?
I come in and as I’m getting ready for bed I see this snippet on insta, Jaissle effectively says “Osula doesn’t like long balls and long balls aren’t the plan”, yet all we’ve done all season is long balls and vertical football, I like Jaissle, I was willing to give him time and knew we had a hard…
Jaissle is now 3rd favourite with some bookies to get sacked next, how did we get here so quickly.

Win or Lose please just play a more exciting game
Quick vent here... I've been a long time fan and never watched the Toon use a formation and strat as boring and soulless as this. I can't believe how much I hate watching these guys right now, it's flat and they look like they don't care at all; missed passes, awful "attempts" in the box, horrid…
Never thought PL manager will be implementing same tactics I tried in Football Manager (3322?)

Remember this days when you used to look forward to watching the match?
No it’s more like penitence. A feeling of dread with the added hinge of just hoping things might work out. (And they may)! submitted by /u/Specialist_Award9622 [link] [comments]

Lots of resale tickets for Monday night?
I can’t make it tomorrow so I’ve put my ticket in the East Stand up for resale with the club. My mate who sits next to me has done the same. When I’ve done this before, like last year, it’s sold in no time but 24 hours later it’s still not sold and last I heard neither had my mates so two together…
