New fan.. what’s going on?

I got back into ‘soccer’ a few years back, and jumped on the Newcastle train. My dad was a big Andy Cole and Newcastle fan, back in the day, so I immediately gravitated towards the team. But can someone explain what’s happening with the team? I guess as an American, that’s used to NBA trades, and…

End of an Era?

Woke up to the news that we’re potentially Losing our 3rd key player this window ( Gordon, Tonali and Bruno) I was angry at first but quickly turned sad It really does seem like the end of an era. We did a lot of fantastic things in the last could have years. Won our first cup. Champions leagues a…

Did Howe lose the dressing room?

Now the unthinkable has happened and we face the greatest club legend of the past 20 years leaving (Paul Dummet notwithstanding) I am genuinely interested to hear whether people have changed their mind on this. The fanbase online were really divided on this when times were tough last year and true…

I know it's more to do with winning trophies and salary. But, I can't help but feel that the board keeping Howe, no Mandy vision, no training ground, no stadium announcement and terrible recruitment has led to players being disillusioned with the project. It's dead.

Losing Isak, Tonali, Gordon and Bruno within 18 months? Bruno himself said a couple years ago that he'd only leave the club if he ever felt the clubs ambition didn't match his own. There is some rot at this club that needs a controlled burn. Maybe from the ashes this rebuild will be what the club…

My friends and I had an in-joke a few years back (before transfer windows) that featuring a player in the NUFC calendar would inevitably lead to the leaving the club before their month. It’s nice to see tha5 Sandro has brought the tradition back. Enjoy September everyone. submitted by…

Is is time to rip things up and start again?

A few years ago certain clubs tried to break away in order to maximise the amounts they earn and for a super league with no effective relegation for them and massive profits. That was shot down at the time, then Newcastle got taken over and these clubs managed to get rules bought in which…

How can anyone (excluding big 6) enjoy top flight football anymore?

Feel like for the last 5-6 years everyone has been lying to themselves/sold a lie that you can organically grow year after year and one day your team’s revenues will be big enough that you can finally compete for glory. I think that ignores the fact that while the smaller clubs are growing and…

PL Proven overrated?

Do you think the PL proven tax is a little much or ridiculous? With Howe being the manager it seems he loves PL proven guys but I think we should really be looking out of the PL. Bruno has been our best player for a couple years now and he came out of the French league. I think the club should be…
