Hall at CM

Does anyone else think that our solution to the CM problems might be Lewis Hall? Personally, I think the way he turns away from the press and drives forward is the most Brunoesque player we have. And I believe that's where he wanted to play when he left Chelsea... Now, I know we don't have another…

How good was Shola Ameobi?

Of course he is known as the great mackem slayer and if it he didn’t exquisitely lay it on a plate with a frothy little 2 yard pass for Shearer’s barnstorming volley against Everton, we (and that commentator) wouldn’t all have had that moment BUT how good was he on average and would he start in the…

Long distance travelling - A question from an outsider.........

Sorry - prob a stupid trivial question to you all ..... but from an outsider (Aussie 😉) how does Newcastle travel when they have to play teams based in London or further south ? For example this weekend, do they travel on a charter flight or a train and do they stay the night or do they come back…

So much analysis on our team, but the root cause is clear. We play red bull football where we give up defence to outscore opponent. It doesn't work when you have no goal scorers in the team.

I see so many people analysing out tactics but the flaw is clear. We play 'vertical football' whatever that means, but essentially Jaissle wants to see intense attacks that result us playing entertaining games where we outscore our opponents. It doesn't work with our current team because somehow…

My team

No I’m not an expert and no I’ve not got the experience so this team can get slagged off I’m good with that. But I’m thinking once everyone is fit again we should be looking like this. Steur is a baller and I think he could be the link between mid and defence. Front three with tons of pace. What…

We need to remember what being a Newcastle United supporter is all about.

After another defeat last night, I came away frustrated. Not just with the football, but with the atmosphere around the club and, increasingly, inside St James’ Park. I genuinely think we need to have a look at ourselves as a fanbase. When did we start acting like one of the Greedy Six? Every…
